2008/2009 Tax Year Deadline Is In 4 Days

If you are due to claim a tax rebate for the 2008-2009 tax year you only have until this Friday. A tax rebate claim for the 2008-2009 tax year will have to be made on or before this Friday or it will be too late to claim any tax back you may be entitled to. It is worthwhile asking yourself if you had any gaps in employment or had any job related expenses like using your own car for business use, washing a works uniform or paid fees into a professional body.

With the current tax year coming to an end it is a good time of year to review your tax position for the current and previous tax years. The PAYE system allows a tax rebate to be claimed for the last four tax years which means you could be entitled to a tax rebate for more than just the current tax year.

You still have enough time to make a claim for the 2008/2009 tax year as long as HMRC receive it on or before this Friday. Take some time today on your bank holiday day off to consider if you are entitled to a tax rebate and make a claim as soon as you can.
