HGV Drivers Tax Rebates

If so you can claim a tax rebate from HMRC to get some of your money back. Many professional drivers don’t know they can claim tax relief on costs incurred at work, and miss out on tax rebates for the last four years.

If your expenses are worth £2500 or more in any one tax year the tax office will normally require a self assessment tax return completed for that tax year. This is necessary even if you are not self employed.

If you are a self employed HGV driver you need to include all of your work related expenses on your self assessment tax return.
