HMRC Investigate Personal Records…
It is possible for HMRC to view a tax payers’ personal information if HMRC suspects tax evasion. It is reported that in 2011, 3000 more items of communication data were viewed by HMRC than in the previous year.
Information sources such as mobile phone calls, internet activity and emails can all be accessed in an effort to stop tax evasion.
