tax rebate is the name given to an amount of money
returned to an individual because he / she has paid
too much tax.

can claim a tax rebate if you have paid too much tax
because of an incorrect tax code or if you have not
claimed allowances which you may be entitled to. Occupation
and
age are not of any relevance - if you have paid too
much tax you are allowed to claim it back.

forward the balance either by cheque or bank transfer.
