Q. I pay membership into the RCM. Can I claim a tax refund?

A. If you have paid professional subscription fees to the Royal College of Midwives a Nurse tax refund claim can potentially be made for the last four tax years.

A Nurses tax rebate can be claimed for RCN membership fees for the last four tax years.

You can also claim tax relief on membership fees into most other professional bodies for example the Nursing Midwifery Council ( NMC ) and for the laundering of uniform.  If you use you own car for business travel or purchase equipment for work use you may also be able to include this in your Nurse tax rebate claim.
