Q. Is my BMA membership tax deductible?

A. If you pay membership into the British Medical Association a tax rebate claim can potentially be made for the last four tax years starting currently from the 2008-2009 tax year.

Doctor Tax relief can also be claimed for the laundering uniform, purchases of equipment for work use and use of your own car for work purposes. In addition to this if you pay into any other professional bodies for example the General Medical Council (GMC) you may also be able to claim further tax relief as part of a Doctor tax rebate claim.
