We are no longer accepting any further Childrens tax credit claims due to
the timescale involved in processing before the 31/01/2009 deadline.
All current claims will be dealt with as normal.
Please contact your Inland Revenue office for further help.
You are eligible to claim if you:
- Had a child born between 6th April
1986 to 5th April 2003.
- The child lived with you for part of either the 2002 and 2003 years.
- You worked and paid tax in part or all of the period from April 2002 to
March 2003.
Notes:
- Your marital status does not affect a claim. You may be eligible if you were married, living with partner or single claimant.
- If your tax code was in the six or seven hundreds in the 2003 tax year the allowance has been claimed
- You or your partner had to earn over £6,000 and under £38,000 in the 2003 tax year.
- The allowance does not affect any current child tax credit or WFTC claim.
